Rafael Nadal is in great form after a year of absence.
Nadal is back on the tennis court, and what a comeback he is making.
The ATP tournament in Brisbane is in full swing, and here, you can once again see a familiar face. Rafael Nadal has been sidelined with an injury for 12 months, and he himself refers to it as the toughest time in his tennis career. One might assume that he would need a couple of matches to regain his old form, but Nadal has stormed through the initial games, and today he is set to play in the quarterfinals.
Dominic Thiem was first defeated with a scoreline of 7-5, 6-1, and subsequently, Jason Kubler couldn't make a stand as he was beaten with a score of 6-1, 6-2. Nadal is now set to face Jordan Thomson in the quest for a spot in the semi-finals.
Nadal is using the tournament in Brisbane to warm up for the first Grand Slam of the year, the Australian Open, which kicks off on January 14th. He has previously won the Australian Open twice.
