The stats about Graham Potter’s mixed start at Chelsea FC

Image Description
Graham Potter and Chelsea haven't had the start to the Premier League that was hoped for and the rumors are already that the results must improve if Potter wants to keep his job.

There were great expectations when Chelsea signed former Brighton manager Graham Potter. His attractive style of play was to be implemented at Chelsea and lead them back to Championship contenders.
With signings like Kouliably, Cucurella, Aubameyang and Sterling, Potter got some of his wishes fulfilled and the start was also good as Chelsea were unbeaten in their first 9 games in all competitions.

After this, they have now lost 4 games in their last 7 and are placed in 8th place with 25 points. Most recently they played a terrible game against Nottingham Forest where they undeservedly played 0-0. It is not only the results that speak against Potter, but the game has not worked in many matches and large substitutions from match to match have meant that they haven’t been able to implement Potter's way of playing football.

Graham Potter’s stats for Chelsea FC:
Games: 16
Wins: 8
Draws: 4
Losses: 4
Goals scored: 22
Goals conceded: 14
Points: 28
Points per match: 1.75

The fact that they have only scored 20 goals in the Premier League clearly shows that the offensive game is their big problem. Aubameyang looks like a man who is done with football, while Kai Havertz and Sterling are not a true 9 striker that Chelsea are known to have.
They have brought in a striker from the Norwegian League, but it’s not someone you can set too high expectations on from the start, so they will simply have to invest money in January's transfer window if Chelsea have any hopes for the top 4.

Several media reports that Chelsea will hold meetings about Potter's situation if the results do not start to improve.
However, it seems mind-boggling that they would fire Potter already, as it is a long-term project he is working on and there will be bumps in the road before it gets better.
We must hope that Chelsea's management looks towards Arsenal, where they stubbornly kept Arteta despite pressure from fans and the media
