Erling Haaland reminiscent of a prime Zlatan

Erling Haaland reminiscent of a prime Zlatan
Currently averaging 1.25 goals per game, Haaland is leading the premier league in goals and efficiency

Ever since its foundation, the Premier League has been home to many legends of the game. From tall to short, fast or slow, English or French, the Premier League is one of the many league top talents aim to play for.

Here's a list of some of the best strikers in the history of the prem.

Harry Kane has been widely regarded as one, if not the best scorer the premier league has seen since the 2000's. Having won the PL golden boot on three separate occasions, most notably in 2016/17 with 29 goals scored.

At the time he was thought to be the future savior for Tottenham and a future all time player in the prem. Currently at 200 career goals, Kane finds himself in 3rd all time scorer, right behind Wayne Rooney (208) and Alan Shearer (260), scoring an impressive 0.65 goals per game.

Sergio Aguero was once regarded as the best striker in the Premier League, and still is by many, but at the time there was no doubt of his greatness. The one time golden boot winner won the league on 5 separate occasions, scoring the final goal for Man City in the dying instances of the last game of the 2011/12 season.

But that's just it, at his stature Aguero was a scoring machine. Scoring 184 goals in 275 league games, he averaged an imposing 0.67 goals per game.

Erling Haaland is currently averaging almost double what was once considered a good ratio of goals per game in a player's career. But that’s just it, these were recorded over long careers, whereas Haaland is just 20 games old in the Prem.

Erling has a tall stature and can run fast, which plays a big role in his game, similarly to another European football giant. Back in 2008/09, Zlatan Ibrahimovic recorded his best season to date, with 29 goals and 11 assists in all competitions. His goal contribution was at 40, contributing to a goal every 0.85 games that season.

Playing for Milan, Zlatan had to deal with some of the most talented teams in all of Europe, back the Serie A was more intense. In today's, the Premier League is a similar environment to Erling Haaland as the Serie A was for Zlatan. If Haaland can manage to keep up with his scoring abilities, he could very well record the most impressive season in Premier League history.
