Contract extension for David de Gea or not?
Manchester United goalkeeper only have 175 days of his current contract with an option for one more year, but will he stay at Old Trafford?
David de Gea could leave on a free transfer in the summer as the club considers not activating a clause to extend his contract for a further 12 months according to several reports.

There has been talk for several years that De Gea should not be Manchester United's first choice due to several less than good actions that led to scores, but it seems that he has matured in the last few seasons where he has been at a high level.
It is reported that De Gea should be very keen to stay one more year, while Ten Hag should be open to finding a new first keeper who can help build the new Manchester United.
The Spanish goalkeeper has also turned 32, so the assessment will undoubtedly be whether United are betting on routine or whether they want a younger goalkeeper with great quality.
De Gea has been at United for many years and it seems to be a good time to break the collaboration and each try something new. In any case, a strong half-season is needed from De Gea's side in order for him to convince United's management of a contract
