Unai Emery's first season at Aston Villa.

The Spanish coach was hired on November 1st and can look back on a strong season.

Aston Villa was placed 16th in the Premier League when Unai Emery took over from Steven Gerrard. However, an excellent run of form, with several wins and an attacking style of play, helped Aston Villa climb from a relegation position to 7th place, earning them a spot in the Conference League for the next season.

In Emery's first 18 matches as manager of Aston Villa, they won 12 games, resulting in an average of 2.11 points per game, which was only surpassed by Pep Guardiola (2.33) and Mikel Arteta (2.39).

He has managed teams like Valencia CF, Sevilla FC, Paris Saint-Germain, Arsenal FC, and Villarreal. He is renowned for winning the Europa League a remarkable four times. During his time at PSG, he won nearly all the national trophies available.
