Stats leaders in Ligue 1 2022/23

The season is coming to an end in the French Ligue 1, and we have taken a look at the stats leaders.

With only 3 matches remaining in Ligue 1, it looks like PSG is once again on track to win the French championship, as they currently have a 6-point lead over the surprise team of Lens. We have taken a closer look at who the leaders are in the league statistics:

Top goalscorer in Ligue 1:

It seems that the battle will be between Mbappe and Lacazette, both of whom have had a good season. It is impressive that Lacazette has scored 25 goals when Lyon has scored a total of 58 goals, which is nearly half of the goals the experienced Frenchman has scored.

Lens has been the surprise of this season and is currently positioned at number 2 in the league. One of the reasons is their defense, where they have only conceded 27 goals, and Brice Samba has kept 14 clean sheets.

Messi has had a good season at PSG, but it appears that he won't be in Ligue 1 next season as it doesn't seem like he will extend his contract. Neymar has an impressive 11 assists, despite being injured in many matches.
