Europe’s top teams for draws

A look at the 10 teams with the highest draw percentages in the Premier League, La Liga, Bundesliga, Serie A and Ligue 1.

Draw accumulators are a great way to generate big odds from not many selections, but there is a reason for that: they are difficult to predict.

That’s why we’ve ranked the top 10 teams with the highest draw percentages from Europe’s top five leagues: England, Spain, Germany, Italy, and France.

We’ve put in some honourable mentions from other leagues too.

Premier League - Overall Draw Percentage 26.98%

Brighton have the highest draw percentage of any team in Europe’s top five leagues. Indeed, Graham Potter's men have actually drawn a majority of their league games this season, something which only one other club in this article have managed to do (Burnley).

The Seagulls have drawn three times in their last 10, so if we go off statistics, they are due some more one-point ties in the upcoming weeks. Keep an eye on Brighton and Burnley’s game when the rearranged date is confirmed.

La Liga - Overall Draw Percentage 31.86%

Athletic Bilbao have the highest Spanish top-flight draw percentage with 45.45%. The historical footballing giants have had four draws in their last 10 results, so they are statistically solid for draw accumulators.

The La Liga also has the highest overall draw percentage of Europe’s top five leagues so it’s always worth checking the Spanish fixtures before placing your bets.

Bundesliga - Overall Draw Percentage 23.81%

Arminia Bielefeld currently sit in 16th place in the Bundesliga and are only out of the relegation zone on goal difference. With five draws in their last 10 matches, they are a good bet for a draw and generally seem happy to settle for a point against teams further up the league table.

However, the Blues need to start turning these close matchups into victories should they want to survive this season’s relegation battle.

Serie A - Overall Draw Percentage 23.93%

Genoa have really struggled this season and are currently 19th in the Serie A and six points away from safety. Incredibly, they have won just one game but have drawn 11, with four draws in their last 10 matches.

Clearly, they cannot draw themselves out of the relegation zone and need to turn some of these one-pointers into three. However, statistics show Italy’s oldest football team are one of the safest bets in European football for draw accas.

Ligue 1 – Overall Draw Percentage 27.83%

Stade de Reims have the highest draw percentage in Ligue 1 with 39% and have drawn three of their last 10.

While this is not as high as other teams in Europe, the advantage of Ligue 1 draw betting is that many teams draw frequently, with seven clubs drawing at least a third of their games.

Betting on draws when any of these top seven teams play each other could be a clever way to build your bet.
