Europe’s highest scoring second tier teams
Just because it’s the international break, doesn’t mean all domestic football stops. This article looks at Europe’s highest scoring second tier sides in the Championship, Spanish Segunda Division, 2. Bundesliga, Serie B and Ligue 2.
We recorded the teams who have scored the most goals and ranked them based on their average number of goals scored per game, which can be helpful when informing markets such as ‘team to score’ or ‘over 2.5 goals.’
The list also notes each team’s top goal scorer, which can also inform individual scorer markets.
English Championship
It’s perhaps unsurprising to see Fulham as the highest scoring Championship side this season, and in fact, the highest scoring team on this entire list, with a staggering 90 goals in 37 games.
This is no doubt thanks to second-tier specialist Aleksandar Mitrovic, who has already broken the record for the most goals scored in Championship season and looks set to score even more.
Fulham are surely set for an empathetic return to the Premier League next season.
