Europe’s top teams for clean sheets
A look at the teams with the most clean sheets in the Premier League, La Liga, Bundesliga, Serie A and Ligue 1.
Knowing which teams keep clean sheets can help inform your choices in a number of markets.
Win to nil is particularly lucrative, which is when one team wins the match, and the other does not score a goal. Other markets such as ‘double chance’ (win or draw), draw no bet (your stake returned in the event of a draw) and no goalscorer betting are all good options for clubs who rarely concede.
We have ranked the top five teams from the Premier League, La Liga, Bundesliga, Serie A and Ligue 1 by the highest percentage of clean sheets, so you know which teams to take a punt on.
Premier League
Manchester City lead the way in terms of clean sheets in the Premier League this season, with Ederson statistically being the most effective keeper and currently on course to win his third consecutive Golden Glove award.
The Citizens have been particularly solid at home, where in 69% of their games they have not conceded. Backing City to win to nil is always a good option, but draw no bet and double chance are also smart moves if you want to be on the safe side.

La Liga
Perhaps surprisingly; Barcelona, Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid do not feature in the top five La Liga clubs with the most clean sheets this season. Instead, it is Real Sociedad who lead the way so far. They have conceded just 25 goals in 24 games and their keeper Alex Remiro currently sits atop of the individual clean sheet charts.
Sociedad are particularly defensively effective at home; in 75% of their matches they have not conceded, making them a great option for a ‘draw no bet’ punt, because you can’t lose if they don’t concede!

Bundesliga
The Bundesliga is often categorised as a league with plenty of goals, so it is not necessarily the most profitable league to look at. However, a hidden gem to take a punt on is FSV Mainz, who, despite being in an unremarkable eighth place in the table, are defensively solid at home, with 58% of these games being clean sheets.
Their man between the sticks, Robin Zentner, is enjoying an excellent season so far and leads the Bundesliga Golden Glove race, with Manuel Neuer just one clean sheet behind him. A draw no bet punt on Mainz could be a good option, especially when playing at home.

Serie A
Napoli have long been known for their defensively strong sides, and with Kalibou Koulibaly and Amir Rrahmani at the back and David Ospina in goal, this season has been no different.
The Blues have conceded just 17 goals in 25 matches and are consistently solid in both home and away matches. A double chance (win/ draw) or win to nil bet is an excellent option for savvy punters.

Ligue 1
Marseille have enjoyed an excellent season so far and are currently sitting in second place in Ligue 1 – hoping to secure Champions League football. In 25 matches they have conceded just 23 times. Interestingly, they are more defensively solid away from home, with 58% of these matches ending in a clean sheet.
They have highly-rated keeper Pau Lopez to thank, who is on loan from Roma and has helped guide his team to 10 of their 11 clean sheets this season. He currently leads the race for the Ligue 1 Golden Glove.
A draw no bet, double chance or a win to nil punt are all good options for betting on Marseille's upcoming fixtures.
