Europa Midweek Tips: Dortmund, Inter, Goals in Amsterdam and Trabzonspor

There are some exciting matches coming up in the Champions League and Europa League this midweek and here are our best predictions.

Manchester City have already qualified for the next round of the Champions League, while Dortmund could do the same tonight if they can be the second team to beat them this season. 

We expect this to be a fascinating contest at Signal Iduna Park. Dortmund just smashed Stuttgart 5-0 last weekend and players like Bellingham, Reyna and Moukoko were all brilliant. Also, Haaland is expected to start in this match against his former teammates.

The Banker

Inter could seal their promotion to the 1/8 finals by winning against the Czech champions at Stadio Giuseppe Meazza tonight. Since the 1-2 defeat at home to Roma, they have had four wins and one draw and boosted their confidence with the winning goal in injury time against Fiorentina on Saturday. 

Plzen have 0 points from four matches in the group stages and I don't expect them to get anything from one of the most difficult groups. They need to win their last two games to reach the Europa League, but it's not possible. I've already watched them twice and they simply don't have the qualities to play against such strong teams. 

We predict Inter to get the job done in the 1st half and back them to cover the asian handicap line -1 in the 1st half.

With six points behind second-placed Liverpool, the home side must attack from the first minute and go for the win. Ajax will try to take control of the game early and not allow Liverpool to be on the ball. 

Ajax have all qualities to score here, especially at Amsterdam Arena with their fantastic crowd. But I think Liverpool will be fine with Ajax having the ball on the third part of the pitch and will definitely be looking for the counter-attacks with Mohammed Salah. We already saw this against Manchester City and not many teams can't stop their super-fast players. 

I'm convinced both teams will be on the score-sheet tonight and I also predict a high-scoring game.

The Dark Horse

Group H is very close with all four teams battling to progress to the Europa League's next stage. With only one win from four games, Red Star Belgrade stands last in the group, while Trabzonspor have already beaten Monaco and Red Star Belgrade. 

There is a huge difference between the Trabzonspor side at the beginning of the season and in the last few weeks. The champions from last season have finally found the form and the winning formula and they looked very impressive last time against Monaco in the 3-0 win. 

Stadion Rajko Mitić in Belgrade is normally a very difficult place to play, but I don't feel they are at the same level as they used to be.
