Euro weekend round up: Arsenal top of the league, Ivan Toney show
Plenty happened this weekend across Europe and we’ve dived into the stats to pick out some of the best talking points.

The last round is played before the World Cup break and a lot has happened in the European leagues.

Arsenal top of the league:
Arsenal could create a 5-point lead in the Premier League on Manchester City after their defeat at Brentford.
Bottom team Wolverhampton took on the Gunners in a match that was more even than expected. Arsenal had difficulty getting their game going but with two goals from Martn Ødegaard they got the 3 points in a not so pretty game.
Arsenal get points this season even if they don't play well and that could be the difference that makes them clear championship candidates for the rest of the season, possibly favorites to take the title.

Napoli best team in Europe?

Napoli got another win in Serie A and now has 41 points. They now have a lead of 8 points down to AC Milan, which makes them huge favorites to take the title.

Napoli not only leads the league with the most points, but they have the highest stats on several parameters
◉ Most goals
◉ Most shots
◉ Most shots on target
◉ Most take-ons attempted
◉ Most possession won in final ⅓
◉ Most final ⅓ passes

Tottenham get 3 important points:
It seemed for a long time that Leeds United would take points against Tottenham, but Rodrigo Bentancur wanted it differently and with two goals at the end of the match he secured 3 important points.
Rodrigo had otherwise done his bit with two goals for Leeds to create another surprise. The 3 points for Tottenham means that Conte's team is number 4 in the Premier League with 29 points.

Freiburg and Bayern Munich win:
Freiburg continues to impress in the German Bundesliga. On Sunday, they won 4-1 at home over Union Berlin with a hat-trick from striker Vincenzo Grifo.
The victory means that Freiburg is now number 2 in the league and it looks like their fans can start dreaming of the Champions League after the summer.
Bayern Munich won the infamous German derby away from home against Schalke. Schalke 04 are not at all what they used to be and are last in the league and look like the best bet for relegation.
Bayern won the match 2-0 with goals from Gnabry and Choupo-Moting.

Ivan Toney show:
Ivan Toney was dropped from England's World Cup squad by Gareth Southgate earlier this week. After watching the match against Manchester City where Brentford surprisingly won 2-1, you can wonder why Toney is not part of the squad.
In addition to scoring 2 goals, Toney was a constant threat for the City defense and several media have called it a scandal that he has not been selected for the World Cup.
