The Scottish Premiership’s Highest Scoring Players

Regan Charles-Cook of Ross County celebrates his goal with his teammates
The Scottish Premiership has six game weeks remaining and we've taken a look at the division's top scorers.

This article ranks the SPL strikers with the most goals, noting their goals per game and average minutes per goal so you can see who is the most prolific.
This can inform betting on markets such as individual goal scorers and may give an idea as to which players could be heading for other clubs in the summer.

1. Regan Charles-Cook – Ross County

Played: 31
Goals: 13
Goals per game: 0.42
Mins per goal: 196

Regan Charles-Cook may not be a name well-known outside of Scotland, but he’s enjoyed an excellent season with Ross County, scoring 13 goals so far.
The Grenada international struggled to find form previously with Gillingham where he played until 2020, and failed to score for County last season, but he is certainly enjoying his football now and is the top scorer in the Scottish Premiership.
He is out of contract in the summer, and has been linked with moves to Hibernian and Aberdeen.

2. Alfredo Morelos – Rangers

Played: 26
Goals: 11
Goals per game: 0.42
Mins per goal: 193

Alfredo Morelos may have a reputation for being somewhat hot-headed, but he is proven as a consistent scorer for Rangers, netting 10+ goals for five consecutive seasons.
He’s scored 11 this season so far, along with 7 assists, yet again proving himself as an essential player in the side.
Morelos is currently injured, missing out on the recent Old Firm derby and expected to miss Rangers’ Europa League quarter-final against Braga, which is undoubtedly a big blow for the ‘Gers.

3. Bruce Anderson – Livingstone

Played: 28
Goals: 11
Goals per game: 0.39
Mins per goal: 145

He was in the news in 2020 for the wrong reasons, but this season Bruce Anderson has been outstanding for Livingstone.
Anderson has had to work hard to get here; gradually working his way up the Scottish football pyramid, from Aberdeen initially, sent on loan to Scottish League 2 side Elgin City, then Ayr United and Hamilton, he’s finally found a regular starting spot with Livingstone, thanking them with 11 goals in this campaign.
At just 23-years-old, he’s had the best season of his career and has the potential to get even better in the future.

4. Tony Watt – Dundee United and Motherwell

Played: 30
Goals: 10
Goals per game: 0.33
Mins per goal: 242

Best known for scoring the goal that secured Celtic’s famous victory over Barcelona in 2012, ten years on the now 28-year-old has enjoyed a good season in the SPL.
He scored nine goals with Motherwell before joining Dundee United in January. Since then, his form has dropped somewhat, and he’s only scored once in 11 appearances so far for them.
Nevertheless, this is Watt’s best campaign of his career and if he can find his form in Dundee then it could be set to get even better.

5. Christian Ramirez – Aberdeen

Played: 32
Goals: 10
Goals per game: 0.31
Mins per goal: 275

Aberdeen’s number 9 Christian Ramirez has been vital in keeping them away from the relegation places, after a difficult season for The Dons.
The American striker has scored 10 goals in 32 matches, an impressive first season in the SPL after moving from MLS side Houston Dynamo in 2021.
Although, he did come under fire from Aberdeen fans after praising Rangers for beating Borussia Dortmund in February… might be best to avoid doing that again, eh Christian?
