TEAM LEBRON VS TEAM GIANNIS: NBA ALL STAR WEEKEND

As the all star weekend appears, we have to take a look at the top games this year, so let's start chronologically;

Friday Feb. 17 (tonight)

Tonight we will be the first all star weekend games which will take part in a tournament format with 4 teams competing. Team Deron, Team Joakim, Team Pau and Team Jason.

Here are the players to look after:

Team Deron; Jalen Green, Bones Hyland, Walker Kessler, Trey Murphy III, Alpren Sengun and Franz Wagner

Team Joakim; Jalen Duren, Josh Giddey, Evan Mobley, Jabari Smith Jr and Jeremy Sochan

Team Pau; Jose Alvarado, Paolo Banchero, Scottie Barnes, Jaden Ivey, Bennedict Mathurin and Keegan Murray

Team Jason (G Leaguers); Sidy Cissoko, Mac McClung, Scoot Henderson, Kenneth Lfotn Jr and Scottie Pippen Jr

Sunday Feb. 19

NBA G League Next Up Game:

This event will be the first all G League game at the all star weekend with team Luka Garza and Team Scoot Henderson as captains.

Team Luka will have the likes of Mac McClung, Shareef O'Neal and Isaiah Mobley, while team Scoot will consist of Sidy Cissoko, Kenneth Lofton Jr and Scottie Pipen Jr. This game should be interesting to watch as most of these players have a chance to make it to the NBA and this is their time to showcase their talent.

Finally, Sunday will feature the 72nd all star game with team leBron taking on team Giannis.

This year's format will be different as the Starters are chosen by fan and media vote where LeBron's team will have starters as the best players in the west, those being; Ja Morant, Luka Doncic, Lauri Markkanen, LeBron and Nikola Jokic

On the other hand, Giannis' starters will look similar; Donovan Mitchell, Jayson Tatum, Kyrie Irving (now a Mavs player), Embiid and Giannis.

The rest of the all star players will be picked up in a draft an hour prior to the all star game in a pick up draft similar to how we used to pick teammates when we were younger.

This year's edition of the all star weekend should be one for the ages as the format was changed to shake up to usual format.
