Playoffs - Game 2 Preview
Previewing Game 2: A High-Stakes Battle Between Talented Teams Looking to Take Control of their Series
The first round of the 2023 NBA Playoffs has already provided some thrilling moments and unexpected upsets, and the action is set to continue with Game 2 of two exciting matchups: the Cleveland Cavaliers taking on the New York Knicks, and the Phoenix Suns squaring off against the Los Angeles Clippers. Both series got off to intense starts, with the Knicks and Clippers claiming victories in their respective Game 1s.
However, as the playoffs have shown time and time again, nothing is guaranteed, and both the Cavs and Suns will be looking to bounce back and even the score in Game 2. With high stakes and top-level talent on both sides of the court , these two matchups promise to deliver more playoff excitement for basketball fans around the world.
Cavs vs. Knicks:
Going into Game 2, the Cavs will be looking at Donovan Mitchell, who dropped 38/5/5 in their last matchup. The cavs will also need to look at Darius garland and how they can make use of him after the Knicks locked him down in game 1. Garland's game is primarily playmaking and scoring, as in game 1 he was locked down to only 1 assist and 17 points.
Game 1 was a nail biter as the Knicks won by only 5 points. The Knicks victory is assigned to the entire team as they played great passing basketball and knew when to get into isolation.
Jalen Brunson led the Knicks with 27 points, followed by Randle who got 19 points and 10 rebounds. The Knicks are a tough team this season and won't be as hard to beat as many expect, as they showed in their last game.
Suns vs Clippers
Going into Game 1, many expected the Suns to come out victorious. After all, their record with KD on the court in the regular season was 8-0. Currently 8-1 with KD after their loss in game 1, the Suns will be looking to win in their second home game.
We expect this game to be a high scoring one, as both teams are looking to either get the upper hand or even things out in the series. KD and Devin Booker are the main scoring options on the Suns, and they will show why they are one of the many teams expected to reach the western conference finals.
